Description
1-3 Laurel Grove is a late 19th-century terraced house built with a render finish over brick and featuring prominent quoins at the corners. The roof is covered in slate and tile. The house presents as two storeys externally, though it incorporates a hidden attic space lit by upper windows. It has a symmetrical facade of five windows. The central entrance, now serving No. 2, originally had double doors set within a moulded archway with a decorative hood mould, framed by a panel with gableted buttresses. The upper windows are mullioned and transomed, with small panes of glass, and each has a hood mould and a continuous sill band. Flanking the original entrance are canted bay windows with decorative architraves and cornices, also containing transomed windows. The left return elevation has similarly styled windows, including a canted bay. The right return elevation features a stair window with radial glazing. A lower service wing extends to the rear.
