Description
This is a Gothic Revival lych gate situated at the Church of St John the Baptist. It was constructed of ashlar walls with gables clad in tiles, and features a steep tile roof with cresting, alongside lower, lean-to roofs extending outwards. The entrance is formed by roll-moulded jambs supporting a wooden pointed arch with two orders of ovolo moulding. An iron gate is positioned on the exterior side. Narrow, unglazed openings are set into the side walls. Inside, pointed-arch recesses are present on the side walls, accompanied by wooden benches.
