Description

The garden walls and gateway to the south and west of Fferm Farmhouse date from the late 16th century and are constructed of stone rubble. They create two enclosed areas for a garden and orchard. The smaller compartment located directly behind the house features a low stone wall on two sides. The larger rectangular compartment to the west has a stone wall approximately 2.5 meters high, topped with 19th-century upright coping stones. In the northwest corner, there is a late 17th-century arched gateway made of dressed sandstone voussoirs, which includes a modern gate.
