Description
The Bath-house at Lower Soughton Hall is a roughly square structure made of rubble stone and currently has no roof, with the walls still standing at full height. The building features openings with segmental heads and moulded stone surrounds. The entrance is on the east side, with a doorway to the right that has inscriptions in the spandrels: 'EML' to the left and '1710' to the right. To the left of the doorway is a large window, and below it is an opening that is partly below ground level, which leads to an overflow channel.
At the center of the building is a circular water-filled well, accessible by four steps on the south side, and the well is surrounded by a flagstone floor. The north, south, and west walls each have shallow round-arched recesses featuring stone voussoirs and stone or slate sills.
