Description
Pen-y-Bont Farmhouse originated as a row of 17th and 18th century single-storey cottages that were converted into a two-storey farmhouse in the early 19th century. The ground floor is built of random uncoursed rubble, while the first storey is made of later brick, with stacks positioned in front of the ridge. The roof is slate. The building has four bays, featuring shallow upper sash windows with 12 panes on the first floor and 16-pane sash windows on the ground floor. The windows have plain reveals, with stone lintels and sills. A notable feature is the 19th-century gabled open timber porch, which has bargeboards and a slate roof, along with a panelled door.
