Description
The rear courtyard ranges at the Glynne Arms consist of an early 19th-century brick stable block featuring a shallow-pitched slate roof and dentilated eaves. The ground floor retains one of the originally three entrances on the left, which is narrow and recessed with a flat-arched head. The façade also includes three modern garage doors and two early 20th-century windows with cambered heads. Above, the first floor is distinguished by three large, symmetrically spaced unglazed occuli.
To the left, there is a two-storey stable range from the third quarter of the 19th century that includes accommodation above. This section has a medium-pitched slate roof with dentilated eaves, simply moulded end stacks, and a centrally-placed conical iron louvre. Access to the first floor is available on the right, beneath a wooden boarded cover that is roofed in corrugated iron. There is a blocked doorway to the left on the ground floor, followed by a plain recessed doorway with a cambered head. To the left of this doorway, there is a recessed sash window with a cambered head, featuring 12 panes above and 2 below. The first floor has five 12-pane sash windows with projecting cills.
