Description
The School House is a two-storey building with a simple Gothic style, constructed from snecked rubble stone and featuring tooled quoins. It has a graded slate roof that is set behind a coped gable with moulded kneelers and includes coursed stone stacks. The windows are hornless sashes, with 12 panes in the lower storey and 9 panes in the upper storey. The front of the building has centrally-placed windows framed in dressed stone architraves, situated beneath a gablet in the upper storey. To the left of these windows is a doorway that features a shouldered lintel and a panelled door.
On the left side, there is a return wall that adjoins the lower former school, which has a window under a gablet in the upper storey and a small sash window lower down on the left. The right gable end of the house has a single window on each storey. The rear of the building has a similar arrangement of two sash windows under wedge lintels, with a shallow gabled projection on the right side. In the lower storey of this projection, there is a 12-pane sash window on the left, a smaller sash window on the right, and a boarded door positioned between them.
The property has not been inspected.
