Description
Bryn Awel is a two-storey, three-bay Georgian house dating from the 18th century. The house is constructed of scribed roughcast walls with a steep slate roof, featuring an end brick stack to the right and an external brick stack to the left. The outer bays have small-pane, hornless sash windows on both floors. A nine-pane hornless sash window is positioned above the central doorway. A gabled porch covers the doorway and is now covered in corrugated sheets.
A continuous rear outshut extends along the rear of the house, covered by a catslide roof. This outshut features a half-glazed door to the left of centre, a boarded door to the right of centre, and two-light casement windows on either side. A tall brick stack is present on the left side of the outshut. A later projection has been built against the left side of the outshut.
Inside, a central stair hall provides access to a close-string staircase. The rooms to the right and left of the hall each contain a single stopped spine beam with run-out stops.
