Description
West Gate is a symmetrical two-storey house with three windows, built with random stone and featuring a shallow-pitched slate roof and projecting stone end stacks. The windows are set under segmental-arched heads made of stone voussoirs. The central wooden door has a three-pane overlight and is flanked by three-light wooden casement windows that include horizontal glazing bars. On the first floor, there are three two-light casement windows, also with horizontal glazing bars. At the rear, there is a small lean-to porch located at the junction of the main range and the rear wing, which has a small light above it. The rear wing features a brick-extended end stack and a ground floor casement window on the west side, while the east side of the wing is not visible. Access to the interior was not available at the time of inspection.
