Description

17 Park Street is a 3-storey house with an out-building aligned alongside it. The house features a 3-window range and has a contemporary rear wing next to the lane. It is constructed of Flemish bond brickwork and has a slate roof with a close eave and a stack on the right-hand gable end. The street front is nearly symmetrical, with a central entrance that includes a 6-panelled door topped by a radial fanlight within a moulded architrave. The small-pane sash windows, consisting of 9-and 12-pane configurations, have cambered brick heads; however, the two windows to the right of the doorway disrupt the symmetry of the facade. The rear wing appears to be contemporary with the house, but all its details are from the 20th century. To the left of the house, there is an outbuilding that was formerly a coach-house, made of stone, featuring a round-arched carriage entrance on the right and a high-set oculus window on the left. The building was not inspected during the time of the resurvey.
