Description
4-8 Mwrog Street form a group of buildings. This is a long, 2-storey structure featuring slightly advanced, 1-window gabled bays at each end, with the left bay being slightly inset. The front between the gables has 5 windows, with the upper storey windows not aligned with those below. The building is roughcast under a slate roof, except for the ground floor of the main range, which is rendered and lined. There is a banded brick end stack on the left side. Architectural details include a modillion eaves cornice and scalloped barge boards with finials on the gabled bays.
There are three entrances with uPVC doors and uPVC panels above, which have replaced original 4-panel doors with overlights. The windows have been renewed to 12-pane wooden sashes. The gabled bays feature tripartite sashes, except for the upper right bay, which has a pair of sashes. In the main range, there are doorways on the left, left of centre, and right, with two windows to the right of centre. The left window on the upper storey is smaller. The west gable end is constructed of random stone with brick quoins, while the east gable end is adjacent to the Park Place Hotel. The rear is made of brick, with the right-hand part slightly set back and mostly featuring uPVC windows. The interior has not been seen.
