Description
The agricultural range at Carreg-y-Pennill is a long building made of whitened rubble, featuring a timber-framed core in the northern section. It has a slate roof with a rubble gable parapet on the north side. The main barn, located on the right, includes a wide entrance with an exposed timber lintel and three tiers of ventilation slits to the right. On the left, there are four stable entrances, all except the nearest having segmentally-arched heads, each fitted with a boarded stable door. In the center of these entrances is a window with a similar arch. Under the eaves, there are three plain rectangular loft openings along with additional ventilation slits. Inside the primary barn section, there is evidence of its original box-framed construction.
