There is a rendered stack that is slightly offset to the right of center and set back behind the ridge, with quoins on the corners. The ground floor of No 49 has a shop front that includes plain pilasters with scrolled brackets, which support a narrow flat cornice above a plain fascia. The entrance is centrally located and inset, featuring a half-glazed panelled door with a plain overlight. The shop windows on either side are plain-glazed. The interior has not been seen.
