Description
Bodafon Hall is a two-storey house featuring a rear yard and wing. It has a slate roof and rectangular brick chimneys. The stone walls are finished with roughcast render. The modern casement windows are designed to imitate four-pane sashes.
The front elevation of the house includes a large gable at the southeast end, which has a window on the first floor and a canted three-light bay window below. In the second bay, a flight of stone steps with mid-19th century or earlier railings leads up to a six-panelled door, with the top two panels glazed. The third bay features a window with a gable above it and a canted bay window on the ground floor. The fourth bay has a window on each floor, while the fifth bay at the southeast end has a window on the ground floor. The southeast garden elevation has four windows on the first floor, each with small gables above.
Inside, the ground floor room of the garden wing is said to have three ceiling beams that are either plastered or boxed in, along with a large fireplace. In the front wing, the ground floor room at the southeast end is noted for having two stop-chamfered ceiling beams and two alcoves with semi-elliptical heads. The 19th-century staircase features octagonal balusters and a curved newel, and there are six-panelled doors throughout.
