Description

The railed tomb in the churchyard of St Elian's Church is a Grade II listed structure dedicated to the Wynne family of Coed Coch. It features a plain limestone grave slab set on a tooled limestone plinth that has a shallow splay. The grave slab includes incised memorial inscriptions for John Lloyd Wynne of Coed Coch (1776-1862), his wife Mary Lloyd, and another John Lloyd Wynne, also of Coed Coch. A brass plaque with the same information is affixed below these inscriptions. The tomb is enclosed by railings that have spear-headed tops and urn finials at the corners and centers of each side.
