Description
Ddolhyfryd Farmhouse is an early 19th-century, two-storey square farmhouse constructed of pebbledashed and whitened rubble, topped with a hipped slate roof that features deep eaves and plain flanking chimneys. The symmetrical three-bay facade includes a recessed central entrance, which is accessed through a late 19th-century open porch supported by chamfered posts and featuring a flat roof. The original six-panel door, of which the upper four panels are now glazed, is complemented by a rectangular fanlight with intersecting lozenge glazing.
Both floors have original 16-pane, slightly-recessed sash windows that are adorned with projecting slate cills and exposed slate lintels. At the rear of the house, which faces the farm, there is a central entrance with a modern, part-glazed door. To the left, there are late 19th-century four-pane sash windows, while to the right is a two-pane late 19th-century window located below an original 12-pane sash. The east side features a small 12-pane sash window, along with a similar blocked window to the left.
The interiors are plain, showcasing a simple late 19th-century staircase and fittings.
