Description
The sundial base at the Church of St Martin is a columnar structure from the second quarter of the 18th century. It is made of sandstone and sits on a large circular plinth, which is partly constructed of slatestone. The base features an octagonal abacus that has chamfering and a lip at the top. The sundial itself has been removed. Inscribed on the column are the letters: `TR..T..W..T..RD..WARDENS'.
