Description
Pont y Bala is a long road bridge constructed of rough-dressed rubble, with snecked stonework on the downriver side. The bridge features four segmental arches that are recessed below arch rings made of narrow stones. There are half-height triangular cutwaters on both sides, which extend to parapet height as shallow pilasters on the downriver side. The carriageway is flat, and the parapets are plain and coped. The arch soffits are cemented, and there are three pairs of modern street lights installed on the bridge.
