Description
The Stable Block at Tyn-y-Coed is a building constructed from rubble with a slate roof. The right section is the oldest part and has been extended to the left and re-roofed in a later period. It features a central entrance to the main section, which has a late 19th-century two-part boarded door. On either side of the entrance are fixed windows with nine panes and projecting cills. The left section includes a recessed stable door on the right and a six-pane top-opening casement window on the left, with rusticated quoins. There are additional entrances at both gable ends.
Inside the right section, there are three Victorian loose boxes, which have cast iron columnar posts and rails supporting boarded partitions. These partitions feature ball finials and foundry plates marked "Musgrave's Patent, London and Belfast." The floor is square cobbled and the roof has been renewed.
