Description
Bod Alaw is a two-storey house with a cellar, featuring two windows on the front. The exterior is constructed of squared coursed rubble masonry, topped with a gently pitched quarry slate roof that has a pitch daubed to the right, along with plain close eaves and verges. There are stone stacks and water tabling present.
On the first floor, there are large 16-pane sash windows positioned under the eaves, which are similar to those on the ground floor and have stone lintels above them. The cellar windows are located below, featuring deep stone lintels.
The entrance includes a brick staircase with sidewalls leading to a central doorway, which has slate treads. An open timber porch adorns the entrance, with a corniced top over a frieze that includes pierced quatrefoils. The porch is supported by chamfered posts and has timber lattice sides, with two long glazed panels above small flush panels on the door.
On the right end elevation, there are two light, 6-pane casement windows that are offset to the left, also with stone lintels. Steps lead down to a cobbled yard that is below street level, bounded by a stone wall. In the centre of this elevation, there is a cellar doorway with a stone lintel and a plank door.
