Description

Bodfan is a three-storey building with a cellar, featuring a two-window layout. It is constructed from coursed rubble masonry and has a moderately pitched slate roof that is hipped to the south. The eaves are plain, and there is a stone stack with water tabling.

On the second storey, there are two Victorian sash windows with stone lintels and sills. The first floor has similar but deeper windows. The ground floor on the left includes a late 19th-century doorcase with a dentil cornice, ironwork cresting, brackets, and sunk panelled pilasters. Above the part-glazed door is a rectangular fanlight. To the left is a modern window, and to the right is a modern shopfront that obscures evidence of a blocked doorway.

The building has a similar two-window arrangement on the second and first floors facing Eldon Square, above a continuous modern shopfront. On Mill Street, there is a one-window elevation with Victorian sashes on the second and first floors, and a later inserted diamond window on the left side of the first floor. A rectangular bay window is located on the ground floor to the left, featuring an oversailing hipped slate roof, sunk panelled pilasters, and Victorian sashes. There are iron railings with dogbars and a gate leading to the cellar stairwell on the right.

Additionally, a three-storey, two-window house set back to the left is part of the Mill Street elevation. It has deep plastered eaves and Victorian sash windows with stone lintels. The ground floor openings are offset to the right, and there is Art Nouveau glass in the door and window on the left side of the first floor. The property also features a railed forecourt and cellar stairwell.
