Description
Ty Newydd is a two-storey building arranged in a linear form, oriented roughly north to south. The northern end contains accommodation, while the southern end features a lofted cowhouse. There is also a single-storey lean-to attached to the northern gable. The structure is constructed of coursed blockwork, with large stones used for the quoins and lintels. It has a slate roof with stone coping and a rectangular gable stack at the northern end, complete with dripstones and capping.
The main façade of the building faces the yard to the west. The dwelling section has a central boarded door, flanked by small two-pane casement windows, with similar windows located on the first floor beneath the eaves. The cowhouse features a single doorway positioned towards the southern end. The rear of the building is built into the slope and has no openings, while the entrance to the lean-to is located at the northern end.
