Gilfach Goch

Gilfach Goch is a single storey farmhouse with an attic, constructed from mortared grey rubble and featuring a roof made of small slates that are grouted, with exposed stone gable copings. The original section of the building is oriented roughly east to west, with an added single storey block that has an attic, positioned at right angles to the north end. There is a stone chimney located on the eastern side.

The farmhouse has modern glazing throughout. On the south elevation, there is a doorway that is offset to the left, accompanied by a small window to the left and a larger modern window to the right. An attic window is located on the left gable. The rear of the main block features a doorway that is opposite the front doorway. The addition at right angles includes a doorway and a first floor window, while the gable end of this addition, which is partly built into the hillside, has stone stairs leading up to the doorway of a granary, as well as a chimney.

The farmhouse is said to partially retain its original plan, which includes a cross passage, a larger room to the right, and two smaller rooms to the left. The larger room contains a stair in the south corner and a large fireplace on the eastern side. It is also noted that the building retains an old roof structure supported by pegged cruck trusses.
