Description
Felin Sarn is a two-storey building constructed from grey-brown stone with red brick dressings and a slate roof. The front of the building faces the road to the northwest. On the upper floor, there are 11 windows featuring red brick dressings and 16-pane sash glazing, although the second and third windows are blocked. The ground floor has been altered to include two broad vehicle entrances, and aside from two windows on the right side, the other openings are also blocked.
Inside, the building features queen post roof trusses. The upper floor has been removed on the left side but remains intact on the right side. Near the center of the building, there is an enclosed wheel pit that houses a 9-metre diameter iron overshot waterwheel, which originated from the De Winton foundry in Caernarfon and is said to date back to 1885. The control mechanisms for the waterwheel are still present at the upper floor level, and line shafting is suspended from the roof trusses.
