Description
Neuadd Bogdadle is a farmhouse that features a stucco front and is constructed from uncoursed granite rubble boulders. The western end displays large boulders similar to those found at the nearby Tyn-y-coed. The roof is covered with small slates and has two squat stone end chimneys, with the larger one located on the left side.
The farmhouse is two stories high and has a three-window south front that has a pronounced longitudinal bow, which is offset to the right. The windows are horned sashes, with 12-pane windows on the first floor and the ground floor to the right, and a larger 16-pane sash on the ground floor to the left. There is a 20th-century door with an over-light, and a flat-roofed porch that features a cornice and two Roman Doric columns.
To the northwest, there is a single-storey rear wing with a whitewashed west side that includes a 20th-century door to the right and a 16-pane horned sash to the left. The eastern wall of this addition has small 20th-century casements. The north wall of the main house has two 12-pane horned sashes on the first floor, set at different levels, and a small 4-pane swivel window below at the basement level. The eastern end wall has a 20th-century glazed door leading to the basement, with a small casement window above it on the right side.
Inside, the left side of the entrance hall features a closed-string staircase with turned balusters. There is a large inglenook fireplace at the left end, which is partially blocked. A blocked stone newel stair is visible to the right of the chimney from above, and there is also a stone stair leading down to the basement at the eastern end. Both the house and the northern addition have large adze-dressed cross-beams, and the roof of the house has oak adze-dressed collar trusses.
