Description
The former tollhouse, now a public telephone kiosk, is a structure built of rubble in a folly style. It features a pair of truncated drum towers with a central arched entrance. A flight of eight steps leads up to the entrance, which opens into the taller right-hand tower, where there is another arched entrance with a boarded door. The left-hand tower has a similar arched entrance on the left side, facing southeast, which has a recessed panelled door that provides access to the telephone kiosk. There is a slit-light on the front of the left-hand tower. An electrified lantern is mounted on top of the central link wall that connects the two towers and contains the arch.
