Description
Twll-y-clawdd is a linear range that includes a one-and-a-half storey cottage and an attached outhouse, which now forms part of the accommodation. The exterior is finished in pebbledash over stone and features a heavily grouted slate roof with tiled copings. The gable stacks are rendered, with the left (south) stack being a large square design that includes dripstones and capping.
The cottage has a two-window range, with widely spaced windows at either end and a doorway that is strongly offset to the left (south) side. The modern door is set within a rendered gabled porch. The ground floor windows are fixed 6-pane lights, while the first floor has small 2-pane top-hung casements positioned directly under the eaves, all with slate sills. The attached single-storey outhouse features a fixed 6-pane light on the right (north) side and a modern door on the left (south) side.
In front of the house, there is an enclosed yard bordered by a low rendered rubble wall and ornate wrought iron gates. Inside, the cottage has been modernised but still retains features such as the cambered bressumer over the inglenook, some exposed loft beams, and the old steps leading to the loft.
