Description
9 Wexham Street is part of a terrace of two-storey brick houses, built with slate roofs and brick chimneys. The windows feature dressed limestone surrounds with monolithic jambs, and the lower storey has round heads with keystones. The two-light windows include wooden mullions and small-pane casements, with transoms in the lower storey. The houses are arranged in pairs of three bays, with the central bay containing a passage that has a plain round brick arch, leading to boarded front doors and access to the back yards. Above this passage is a window. On the right-hand side, the passage leads to No 23 and to the yard behind 9 Wexham Street. The return elevation on Wexham Street has three windows and features a boarded door beneath a round-headed overlight and plain brick arch. The upper left-hand window is blocked, and a window was added in the 20th century at the right end.
The left gable end of No 13 is roughcast, and the rear has small-pane horizontal-sliding sash windows. This building is part of a group that includes 13-23 Stanley Street and 9 Wexham Street.
