Description
The Bethesda Congregational Chapel, built in the 19th century, features a lateral entry and is rectangular in shape, with a chapel house located at the eastern end. The building is constructed from rubble masonry, finished with grey grit and smooth rendered architraves, along with rusticated angles. The roof is covered with old small slates and has stone copings.
The entrance elevation faces north and includes two recessed sash windows, which are flanked by entrances. These openings are adorned with shaped, eared architraves and keystones, while the window sill band across the front elevation is interrupted by the entrance architraves. The chapel house at the eastern end is two storeys high and has a single window range, with an addition to the south. It shares similar construction details but features plainer dressings. The roof has rectangular rendered gable stacks with dripstones and capping.
