Description
Stanley Tollhouse is an octagonal, two-storey toll house that features a symmetrical design with single-storey wings to the north and west. The building has roughcast and whitewashed stone walls, topped with a slate roof that has projecting eaves. There is a central stack on the octagonal section, along with gable stacks on each of the wings. A verandah with a slate roof is supported by seven cast iron posts. The windows are slightly recessed, consisting of three-light casements. Each side of the upper storey has recesses for windows; the southeast face above the door has a two-light casement, while the other faces are blank.
