Description
Tyn-y-maen is a 2-storey, 2-window farmhouse that includes an attached stable and servant's loft on the left, along with a lean-to shed on the right. The building features pebbledash rendered walls and a slate roof with interlocking ridge tiles and slate gable copings. There are gable end chimneys on the house, with the larger one on the left, and a gable end chimney for the servant's quarters. The house has a central boarded door flanked by 4-pane sash windows that have slightly cambered heads. On the first floor, there are 6-pane sash windows located below the eaves. The rear elevation displays mixed fenestration, including a 4-pane sash stair window in the center. A former privy with a lean-to asbestos roof is attached to the rear wall on the left end. The former stable on the left has a boarded door on the right and a shuttered window on the left, along with an external stone staircase leading to the servant's loft above. The interior was not inspected during the survey.
