Soldier's Point House

Soldier's Point House is a two-storey building featuring stucco elevations for the main part of the house, while the service block and outbuildings are constructed from exposed local rubble with slate roofs. The six-bay entrance faces southeast and includes corner towers, a castellated parapet with shallow machicolations that rises at the center and between pairs of turrets over the second and fifth bays. The upper floor is fitted with 12-pane hornless sash windows, while the ground floor generally features mullioned windows. The second and fifth bays each have single-storey castellated porches with corner turrets, and there is a modern glazed veranda situated between these porches.

The left (southwest) elevation is partially obscured by a modern two-storey extension but retains corner towers and a central pair of turrets. The right (northeast) elevation consists of three windows, also featuring corner towers and a central pair of turrets. This side of the building has an exposed stone screen wall with towers and turrets, along with broad arches leading to the yard. The lower former service block, made of exposed dark grey stone, has three bays at the front, end towers, and paired turrets at the center. The battlemented return to the right includes arrow loops made of white quartz, with towers flanking a former gateway that connects back to the main curtain wall to the north of the house.
