Description
Turret Lodge consists of a pair of castellated round turrets, each one storey high, with a gateway situated between them. The turrets are constructed from coursed rubble, featuring a freestone band below the coped battlements. The roofs are missing. Each turret has a pointed window at the front and rear, which are now blocked and have painted Gothic glazing bars. The entrances face the drive; however, the left-hand turret is missing its door, while the right-hand turret has a panel door that is no longer fixed. Each turret also has an added near square former rear wing, which is roofless. On the inner face of each turret, there is a square freestone gate pier, though the moulded caps have lost their finials, and there is a replacement iron gate. Rubble-stone boundary walls are attached to the outer sides of the turrets.
