Description

The viewing platform and colonnade on the south side of Baron Hill is a semi-circular structure made of freestone, featuring Tuscan columns and an entablature. Doorways on the outer sides provide access to stone steps that ascend to a broad viewing platform. At the top of these steps, there are freestone parapets. The platform has freestone parapets on the sides, but the balustrade at the front has been lost. Stone steps, which span the full width of the platform, lead up to the main drive.
