Description
Ty Croes signal-box is a two-storey structure that includes an integral single-storey range for the booking office and waiting room at the eastern end. It is constructed from dark red brick, accented with yellow brick dressings, which feature sill boards and string courses. The signal-box has a pyramidal slate roof, while the eastern range has a hipped slate roof; both roofs have projecting eaves and brick stacks at the rear. The signal-box features wrap-around small-pane glazing with horizontal sliding sashes, and there is a doorway with an openwork timber stair on the right gable end. The ground floor has triangular-headed openings, although these windows are now boarded up. There are also blocked openings facing the railway lines, along with original name plates present on the building.
