Description

The Old Cutter is a house dating from the 18th century, featuring two storeys and an attic, along with a later west extension that matches its style and a single-storey range to the east. The main facade has four windows and is asymmetrical, with walls made of rubble masonry painted white. It has square stone chimneys on the original house, with the right gable end chimney being particularly large, complete with dripstones and capping. The roof is gabled and covered with slate, featuring gable copings.

The entrance is off-centre, with one window to the left and two to the right. A modern glazed porch has been added in front of the door, and above it is a circular window set within a square frame. The windows vary in size and shape, mostly consisting of recessed two-pane sashes, some of which have been altered and enlarged on the ground floor. The two-storey wing to the left has a rendered end stack and wide windows with tripartite small-paned sashes. The single-storey wing to the right has rubble walls and is partially used as a garage. Inside, the building is said to contain chamfered ceiling beams, although the rest of the interior is modern.
