Description
The tower at Red Wharf Bay is a two-stage rectangular structure built from roughly coursed masonry, featuring some small packing and large stones used as quoins. The entrance is located in the northwest wall, with windows on each of the other sides; all openings have square heads and stone lintels. At the top, there is a battlemented parapet with a weather vane situated in the southeast corner.
Inside, the walls are rendered with ashlar scoring. Stone stairs ascend along the rear southeast wall, where there are remnants of a small grate in the hearth below. The upper stage includes stone slab seating that lines the walls, elevated by two steps along the southeast wall.
