Description

Hammels and the hammel yard walls in Gronant are a 19th-century structure. The hammel range features rubble walls topped with a slate roof and includes five wide openings with segmentally arched brick heads. The two bays on the right have been partly infilled with a stone plinth wall and timber boarding above. The yard wall is also built of rubble and has openings to the south and west, with the southern opening likely having been enlarged. The lower part of the yard is terraced above ground level.
