Alderston House

Alderston House is a traditional harled building from the 17th to 18th centuries, featuring a gabled design and a slated roof. The main block, dated 1626, stands at 2 and a half storeys tall and has corbie steps. There is an aumbry that is corbelled out on the northeast gable, and it includes two later gabled dormers. The date is displayed above the old entrance, which is accessed through a modern vestibule.

The rear wing, dating from the 18th century, is three storeys high and features skewed roofs and band courses, with a long late addition at the southeast end. Inside, the main block has a vaulted kitchen on the ground floor. There is also a single-storey office building, which may date from the 18th century, featuring a piended roof.
