Description
Bloom Cottage is a simple vernacular row of four cottages, likely dating from the earlier 19th century. It is a single-storied building constructed of rubble with painted ochre margins, and has a slate roof. A projecting gabled bay is visible at The Shop. Windows in the Livingston Inn Cottages section have been bricked up. The two western dwellings, known as Livingston Inn Cottages, were once combined into a single residence, but are currently closed. The property is part of a group of buildings of group value, and the listing specifically recognizes the importance of the group rather than the individual building. This group value consideration applies to both the interior and exterior of the cottage, as appropriate for its building type.
