Description
A row of four simple vernacular cottages, likely dating from the earlier 19th century. The cottages are single-storied and built of rubble, with lime-washed walls and painted ochre margins. They have a slate roof. A projecting gabled bay is visible at The Shop. Windows in the Livingston Inn Cottages have been bricked up. The two westernmost dwellings, known as Livingston Inn Cottages (number 1 and 2), have been combined into a single dwelling, though it is currently closed. The cottages are part of a group of buildings with item number 5, and their listing recognizes the interest of the group as a whole. This applies to both the interior and exterior of the cottages.
