Description
The farm complex comprises a house and steading, arranged around a central yard, dating from the 18th century and built in a traditional style.
The house is L-shaped, two storeys high, and constructed of rubble, with some areas harled. It has gabled skew roofs. The roof is covered in both pantiles and slate.
The steading is single-storey and has a loft, built of rubble and partly lime-washed. It features gabled roofs, some of which are piended, and is also covered with pantiles and slate.
Historically, a keep stood nearby until around 1790. This keep was used by Kings as a hunting lodge, and the water from the Spring-well was historically believed to be a remedy for a condition known as "The King's evil".
