Description
This is the site of the former parish church of St Lolan’s, now consisting of a burial ground containing two burial enclosures. The earliest enclosure dates to 1686 and is the burial place of the Muschet family of Burnbank. The other enclosure is from 1699. The Home Drummond enclosure, erected in 1894, features three large gothic arches and contains red granite panels. Fragments from Dunblane Cathedral were incorporated into its construction. The burial ground contains stones dating from the 17th century onwards. Historic records mention the site in the New Statistical Account, volume X, page 1258.
