Description
16 High Street in Dunblane is a later 18th century, two-storey, four-bay building that serves as a tenement and shops. It features harled rubble with painted margins and projecting tooled sandstone cills.
The principal elevation has a regular arrangement of windows on the first floor. There is a bull-faced bay at the outer left of the ground floor, with an added door and window. To the immediate right, there is a door, followed by a broad double door at the centre right, and a large, stone mullioned, three-light window at the outer right.
The north and south elevations are obscured by adjacent buildings, while the rear elevation was not visible in 2001. The first floor has 12-pane, timber frame, sash and case windows. The roof is covered with grey slates and features lead flashing and small modern rooflights. It also has cast-iron rainwater goods and coped gable stacks.
