Description

4-6 The Cross in Doune is a mid-19th century building featuring a shop front that was added in the late 19th or early 20th century. It has two storeys and an attic, with two windows on the upper floor. The exterior is finished in lined stucco with raised and painted margins. The shop front is corniced and includes two doors and two windows, which are flanked by simple piers. There is an off-centre door topped with a shallow raised pediment. The building also has two canted piended dormers, straight skews, and end stacks with a blocking course. The roof is covered with slate.
