Description
The Red Lion Hotel, located on Balkerach Street in Doune, is a public house dating from the late 18th century. It is a two-storey building with an attic and features four windows on its facade. The exterior is finished in an unfortunate bull-faced stucco, with rendered margins and a plinth.
At the ground level, there are two doors and two windows that are asymmetrically placed. The roof is slate and includes three later canted and piended dormers, with two located at the ends and one along the axial stack. There are also single-storey rear service buildings associated with the hotel.
