Easter Cottage, 60 Old Glasgow Road, Uddingston

Easter Cottage is a late 18th century, likely altered in the early 19th century, single-storey, 3-bay symmetrical L-plan house that is part of the Easter Farm group. The building features stugged pink sandstone ashlar at the front and squared and coursed rubble on the sides, with a re-faced, painted re-entrant angle at the rear. It has a base course and an eaves course, with droved long and short surrounds to the windows and raised cills.

The west (entrance) elevation has a polished architraved doorway in the central bay, which contains a replacement door. There are also replacement windows in the bays flanking the entrance. The north (side) elevation is irregular with four bays, featuring a window in the central bay, a window set wide in the outer right bay, and another window in the left bay. Additionally, there are segmental-arched replacement two-leaf boarded garage doors in the outer left bay.

The east (rear) elevation is a blank gabled wall, while the southeast (rear re-entrant) elevation has a replacement door set close to the angle of the south wall and a window set to the centre of the east wall. The south (side) elevation is a blank wall.

The interior was not seen in 1997. The building has modern replacement two-pane timber sash and case windows, a grey slate piended roof, a replacement aluminium stack on the north wallhead, and cast iron rainwater goods with a decorative bracket at the southwest (front) angle.

The boundary walls are curved sandstone rubble walls topped with squared rubble coping.
