Description

80 High Street in Biggar is a three-storey building dated 1889, featuring dormer heads on the second floor. The structure is constructed of ashlar with raised margins and quoins, topped with a slate roof. It has an eight-window front, with alternating shaped gablets and segmental dormer heads on the second floor. There are band courses at the first and second floors, a cornice, and a low parapet. All openings are segmentally arched, and the windows have corbelled cills. The central entrance leads to a common stairway that goes up to the second floor, which is adorned with a decorative iron balustrade.
