Description

24 South Back Road in Biggar is a building dating from around 1840. It has one storey and an attic, constructed from snecked rubble with rusticated ashlar dressings and quoins, topped with a slate roof. The central door features a bracketed pediment, flanked by two windows that are set under hoodmoulds. There is also one later canted dormer. The building is adorned with a cornice and skewputts that are designed in the form of carved heads.
