Description
Laigh Netherfield is a building dated 1805, featuring two storeys and three bays, with a U-plan steading at the rear. The exterior is finished in painted ashlar with margins. The central entrance bay is shallow and advanced, showcasing a door framed in a lugged architrave, complete with a pulvinated frieze and cornice. To the right of the entrance, there is a small inserted window. The outer bays each contain a single window, while the first floor has three windows. The pediment above the entrance encloses a circular datestone inscribed with "James Granger, Mary Semple" and the date. The building has end stacks and a slate roof.
